United Kingdom to Munich

Travelers can book flights from the UK to Munich several different ways. There are both connecting and direct flights departing London, Birmingham, and Manchester.

Munich is the capital of the free state of Bavaria, near the foothills of the Alps. It is a cosmopolitan city known for its museums, churches, and palaces, including the Residenz, home to Bavarian kinds for nearly 600 years. Munich is has an aesthetically appealing mix of historic building with impressive architecture. Munich had to rebuild many of its historic buildings after the devastation of the Second World War, but city planners also created new landmarks of architectural design. Downdrafts, or foehn, from the Alps create huge variations in temperature over just a few hours, especially in the winter. Oktoberfest takes place during the 16 days prior to the first Sunday in October.
