Men and women both worry about one day dealing with puffy eye issues. It is pretty much inevitable. Bags under eyes can make you want to go into hiding and even worse have you showing your emotions on your sleeve when talking to others.
In order to avoid going into hiding, before the look of your puffy eye issues worsen, it is beneficial to look for an eye wrinkle cream or even some sort of surgical procedure depending on how badly the puffiness bothers you.
Ladue News online, a local news site, gave suggestions as to the issues that cause puffy eyes. One facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Nayak of the Skin Enhancement Center, explains puffy eye issues have to deal with several changes in the skin as we age. The under eye bags are composed of fat that actually bulges forward as the eyelid weakens with age. As we age the skin becomes thinner, it wrinkles and collects excess pigment which contributes to the baggy, shadowed appearance.
To get rid of under eye bags, you can start with finding an eye wrinkle cream that works well with your skin type. Eye wrinkle cream can temporarily improve the appearance of bags under eyes because they hydrate, plump skin, reduce eye wrinkles and build collagen.
If you are one of the many women or men who have obtained their puffy eye problems due to heredity, it may be that you want to look into a long-lasting and more beneficial option like cosmetic surgery.
The news article goes on to explain that one of the most common procedures is eyelid surgery. It involves either the upper or lower eyelid. Lower eyelid surgery involves an incision below the lashes where excess fat is removed and it is done with local or general anethesia. There is another type of surgery called Transconjunctival Blepharoplasty involving an incision on the inside of the eyelid where then the fat and excess skin is removed. This surgical option is desirable as the scaring is minimal.
A newer option of eyelid surgery is using an erbium laser to destroy damaged skin cells, leaving the remaining collagen to thicken. The erbium laser requires local anesthesia and provides a permanent change in the skin. Dermal fillers are also always an option. It is a quick procedure but does not provide permanent results as the filler does need to be replaced with a year.
As with any kind of surgery, there is always some sort of risk involved. The best thing to do is weigh out the cost and benefits. Hopefully, should you decide to do it, the outcome of your surgical procedure will be dramatic. You really need to decide whether or not it is necessary to go the cosmetic surgery route. Obviously the more severe your under eye bags, the more likely you will benefit from surgery. Or, if you can live with a temporary fix, the eye cream route may be the best. Either way, you’ll be able to have those great intimate conversations with friends or your significant other knowing all the while you don’t have to be worried they’re thinking about your eye bags.
