Players really dig for the newest game console from Nintendo, the Nintendo Wii. Players were amazed with the use of the remote like game controller which is the Wii Remote that was designed with a motion-sensing ability that allows player to act out an activity game like tennis, bowling and baseball.
Even though, problems arise about the use of the Wii Remote. There were reports of accidents like broken windows, things and some injuries to players. It was said that these accidents happened due to Wii Remotes slipped from the hands of players while they were playing.
Nintendo provided the Jackets for free. The consumers and current Wii owners were given notice through the Wii consoles messaging feature and may get their free Wii Remote Jackets by filling the request form on Nintendos respective website or by calling their special hotline. It will be shipped to them including the strengthened wrist straps also for free.
Aside from the Wii Remote Jackets, Nintendo also included strengthened wrist straps for the remote. To get these protective stuffs, current Wii owners have been notified by Nintendo using the online messaging feature of the system and advised to go on their website and fill out the request form or they can call a hotline number to request. All will be shipped for free.
According to the report, Nintendo spent an amount close to two billion yen or an estimated 18 million dollars just to supply the Wii remote jackets and wrist straps world wide. Though it was a large amount of money, Nintendo hoped that this event would not affect the financial status of their company.
Since the event, Nintendo then released consoles Wii remote with the Wii remote jacket. And because of the safety issues several third parties also sell out their own version of Wii remote jacket. But the free jackets from Nintendo is much padded and made to be easy to remove.
