There are more than 45 different breeds and of course – as with all orchids – thousands of hybrids. Find one you like and go from there. The great thing about Cymbidum is that they are willing to thrive in trees, on rocks, and even in the ground.

As I said – if you want to just dabble in this – start with the Cymbidums. They will not do you wrong. But if you want to take it further than just a little time here and there – really get into the orchid gardening thing, you are going to need a good guide to help you out. It can save you a ton of money and make the overall experience that much more enjoyable (success is fun!)
